Our Mission
Bella Terra, Inc. is a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowering individuals facing life challenges by
providing quality therapeutic, personal growth and educational
opportunities utilizing experiential programming with horses.

for those in need (all ages and abilities). |

Providing fee-for-service programming to the general public in the
areas of team building, leadership development, personal growth, and
counseling. |

Philosophy
At some point all of us face difficult
circumstances
and go through a process to transform our life.
At Bella Terra, Inc., we support those with limited
financial resources and facing significant
life circumstances through a process to empower
and restore self-esteem, confidence, joy, and
security.
This experience enables individuals to chart a
new course to fulfilling their potential.

Bella Terra, Inc. is a resource for individuals
facing life challenges. Our primary goals are to:

Serve those facing significant life circumstances with an
introspective learning process to enable them to improve their
quality of life by increasing their ability to accept, develop,
and make changes. |

Promote leadership development to advance personal achievement and
increase self-sufficiency. |

Focus on developing self-acceptance, self-esteem and self-worth to
facilitate greater life joy and enrichment. |

Individuals of all ages and
abilities facing life challenges. Our primary focus is to serve those
whos lives are touched by these challenge areas: |

Sobriety and addiction recovery. |
|
 |
Illness and/or disability including
but not limited to those facing cancer recovery, learning
challenges, and emotional difficulties. |

 |
Grief, loss, victimization, and trauma. |
|
 |
Youth and adults experiencing difficult
life circumstances or transitions. |
|
|
 |
Clients identified through
referrals from partnering organizations and professionals based on need
and least ability to pay for other services in the community. |

Those in the southwest
Michigan as well as nationally in conjunction with other organizations
with similar missions. |

Our Program Approach:
|
 |
Utilize equine experiential
learning to facilitate individual personal growth and development. This
is not horseback riding or horsemanship. Rather, goal oriented and
bonding activities are used. Participants work on the ground with
horses to achieve goals. Utilize miniature horses when possible. |
|
 |
Serve individuals, families,
and groups through sessions, workshops, and retreats. |
|
 |
Provide a safe environment of
self-discovery where individuals can learn deeper about themselves and
the challenge(s) they face. Support the process of personal change
through facilitating the understanding of personal strengths, learning
styles, and areas to improve effectiveness. |

 |
Develop and enhance key life
skills while building self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem.
