The coordinator for an at-risk summer program
that serves youth severely challenged behaviorally in Kalamazoo
County said that the Bella Terra program was exactly what they had
been looking for their clients. Although they had
participated in many programs, none of them had delivered a
positive impact on improving life skills like this program. The
youth in this program had been "kicked out" of all other available
programs in the county and the Bella Terra program was a "last resort" to
reach these kids. In one afternoon the youth demonstrated
